Mukwano Stars Brighten Corporate League Title Expectation
Mukwano Stars erased any lingering doubts about their Corporate League title quest with a superb performance in the June outing at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on Sunday.

Mukwano who turned up in a new designer jersey made light work on Mega Watts 5-1, went on to hit URA 5-0 before shrugging off a spirited challenge from Vision Group to notch a 1-0 win. Joseph Muwanga scored a lone goal of the match and his fifth of the day as the side team concluded a fantastic outing to remain top of the table.
How Mukwano Stars extinguished Mega Watts:
Encouraged by the presence MPCP Business Unit Manager Mr. Adesh Kumar and Human Resource Manager M/s Patience Agaba, the Mukwano Stars came from a goal down to beat Mega Watts by 5-1. Joseph Muwanga struck twice while Grace Babirye and Isaac Amanya added one each. Mega Watts succumbed to intense pressure to concede a late own goal.

No mercy for the UBL
Muwanga dominated the score-sheet with two spectacular goals that were even applauded by a sizeable crowd which usually turns up for Mukwano Stars’ matches to be entertained. Babirye, Amanya and Wasswa added one each goals.
Other sports disciplines
Mukwano Stars showed that they were not only outstanding in soccer but possessed ‘magic hands’ as well. They took to the volleyball court where they triumphed over Uganda Breweries in two straight sets (25-22, 25-21) to book a slot in the semifinals.

Mukwano were not done yet. The ladies showed amazing pace on the race track as Sarah Kateme and Gladys Nakito from Mukwano Personal Care Products (MPCP) qualified for the final due next month. The men’s team was ejected in semi-finals.
